Mamaweswen, North Shore Tribal Council Natural Resource Leadership Program and Youth Environmental Leadership Program: For the past several years Pele has been pleased to participate in and support the North Shore Tribal Council's Environmental Youth Leadership Program. Pele support provides NSTC youth with a unique learning opportunity to develop leadership and employment skills. Focused on training and interaction with elders, political leaders and technicians in the environmental sector allows participants to gain spiritual and cultural teachings providing youth with the opportunity to apply traditional ecological knowledge during their First Nations-based Environmental Work Experience Placement.
Mamaweswen, North Shore Tribal Council contribution towards participation in the 4th Annual Ontario Economic Summit In Niagara-on-the-Lake: This event was an opportunity for Mamaweswen leaders to participate and network with leaders of business, labour, and government.
Serpent River First Nation Heritage Week: Pele Mountain has provided support for this important heritage event on a regular basis. Serpent River First Nation will be spending one week in August to revisit, uncover, and share among one another key aspects of its history and traditional practices.
Serpent River First Nation Education Awards Ceremony: For the past several years Pele Mountain Resources has supported the Serpent River First Nations Annual Education Awards Celebration. This program is designed to honour SRFN student's achievements throughout the school year.
